1. Purpose of the Tools

All tools offered by Box4Dev, including data generators, validators, converters (such as CNAB Rainbow), browser and VS Code extensions (collectively, "Tools"), were created with the exclusive purpose of assisting developers, software testers (QAs), students, and technology professionals.

The primary purpose is to provide fictitious, random, and/or mathematically valid data to be used for:

• Software and application testing.
• Form filling in development and staging environments (sandbox).
• Software demonstrations and educational purposes.
• Algorithm and field mask validation.

2. Misuse and Prohibitions

It is expressly prohibited to use data generated by our Tools for any illicit, fraudulent, or malicious purposes. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Attempting to impersonate another person in real registrations.
• Using the data to conduct financial or commercial transactions.
• Submitting data to government or official systems.
• Any activity that violates local, national, or international laws.

Box4Dev is not responsible for the misuse of information generated by its users. The responsibility for using the data lies entirely with the user who generates it.

3. Data Accuracy and Validity

Many of the generated data (such as CPF, CNPJ, CNH, PIS) are mathematically valid, meaning they follow the official algorithms for calculating check digits. This ensures they pass system validations, but it does not mean they correspond to real records or real people. They are, in essence, fictitious.

Other data (such as names, addresses based on real ZIP codes) are plausible but should be treated as fictitious in the context of a complete profile.

4. Service Availability and Limitation of Liability

Box4Dev is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We strive to keep the site always available and functional, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Under no circumstances will Box4Dev or its creators be liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use our Tools.

5. Intellectual Property

The content, layout, design, logos, and graphics of this website are the property of Box4Dev and protected by copyright laws. Various components of the project, including the NPM package gerador-br and several extensions, are open-source and available on GitHub under permissive licenses such as MIT. GitHub.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on the site. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically to stay updated.
