Argentina CUIL/CUIT Validator

Online Argentine CUIL/CUIT validator. Verify formatting and Modulo 11.

About Argentina CUIL/CUIT

CUIL and CUIT are unique tax and employment identifiers used in Argentina, managed by ANSES and AFIP.

This dummy generator creates valid CUIL/CUIT numbers using Modulo 11 check digits for QA and developer testing.

Anatomy & Structure of CUIL (ANSES)

The Argentine CUIL code comprises 3 functional sections:

PositionFieldLengthMeaning & RuleExample
1 & 2Prefix / Category2 digits20 (Male), 27 (Female), 23/24 (Special cases and collision avoidance)20
3 to 10DNI Number8 digitsNational identity document number of the individual12345678
11 (trailing)Check Digit1 digitModulo 11 checksum with positional weights [5, 4, 3, 2, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2]9

Official CUIL Validation Algorithm (ANSES Modulo 11)

ANSES specifies weighted Modulo 11 with collision resolution:

Remainder = (Σ (d[i] × [5, 4, 3, 2, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2][i])) % 11
  1. 1. Multiply first 10 digits by factors [5, 4, 3, 2, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2].
  2. 2. Calculate sum of products.
  3. 3. Remainder = Sum % 11.
  4. 4. If Remainder is 0, DV = 0. If Remainder is 1, prefix switches to 23 and DV becomes 9 (male) or 4 (female).
  5. 5. Otherwise, DV = 11 - Remainder.
  6. 6. Conforms if the 11th digit matches DV.
