About Brazilian Pix Keys and the EMVCo Standard
Pix is the instant payment system created by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), supporting random keys (EVP), CPF/CNPJ, email, and phone numbers.
The Pix Copy & Paste payload follows the EMVCo QRCPS-MPM standard with TLV formatting and CRC16-CCITT checksum calculation for checkout and banking integration testing.
Anatomy of Pix Key Types (Central Bank of Brazil)
DICT recognizes 4 canonical types of instant payment routing keys:

Pix Routing Regulation (BCB Resolution 1/2020)
Central Bank routing validation rules for SPI/DICT system:
CPF (11 digits) | CNPJ (14 digits) | Email (RFC 5322) | Phone (+55...) | UUID v4 (8-4-4-4-12)
- 1. If formatted as UUID v4 (36 chars with hyphens at 9, 14, 19, 24), validate as Random Key EVP.
- 2. If containing '@', validate as RFC 5322 electronic mail address.
- 3. If starting with '+55', validate as E.164 mobile phone with country and area codes.
- 4. If strictly 11 digits, apply CPF Modulo 11 validation.
- 5. If strictly 14 digits, apply CNPJ Modulo 11 validation.
