The Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) is a standardized section of 2 lines containing 44 characters each, defined by ICAO Doc 9303, facilitating automated passport scans.
This tool validates MRZ text blocks, computing intermediate check digits for passport number, birthdate, and expiry dates, along with a master global checksum using rotative weights [7, 3, 1] Modulo 10.
