Paraguayan RUC Anatomy & Structure
The Paraguayan RUC consists of a base number (5-8 digits) followed by a hyphen and 1 check digit:

Official Algorithm (DNIT Modulo 11)
Official calculation method from the Paraguayan tax authority (DNIT):
Sum = Σ (d[len - 1 - i] * W[i]); Remainder = Sum mod 11; DV = Remainder > 1 ? 11 - Remainder : 0.
- 1. Process digits from right to left.
- 2. Multiply by weights [2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11].
- 3. Calculate sum and remainder modulo 11.
- 4. Expected DV is 0 if remainder <= 1; otherwise 11 - remainder.
- 5. Compare with the last digit.
