CBU Validation Algorithm (BCRA Weighted Modulo 10)

The BCRA establishes 2 check digits calculated via Modulo 10 with cyclic weights [7, 1, 3]:

DV = (10 - (Σ (d[i] × [7, 1, 3][i % 3])) % 10) % 10
  1. 1. Block 1: multiply the first 7 digits by cyclic factors [7, 1, 3].
  2. 2. Sum products, Remainder = Sum % 10, DV1 = (10 - Remainder) % 10.
  3. 3. Compare with the 8th digit.
  4. 4. Block 2: multiply the 13 account digits by cyclic factors [7, 1, 3].
  5. 5. Calculate DV2 and compare with the 22nd digit.
  6. 6. CBU is valid when both check digits match.
