Peppol is a secure international e-delivery network for electronic invoicing and procurement, governed by OpenPeppol and EU Directive 2014/55/EU.
Participant identifiers combine a 4-digit ISO 6523 scheme with a company's national business registry number.
Peppol Network Addressing
- Sender queries Service Metadata Locator (SML) with SHA-256 hash of Peppol ID.
- SML redirects to recipient Service Metadata Publisher (SMP).
- SMP returns accepted document types and access point endpoint certificates.
