Official validation rules for Malaysian MyKad:

Date YYMMDD + Official PB State Code + Gender in 12th digit

  2. 2. Validate date of birth (positions 1 to 6) in the calendar.
  3. 3. Validate place of birth code PB (positions 7 and 8) against official JPN list.
  4. 4. Determine gender: last digit odd for males, even for females.
