Check digit calculation for Philippine TIN:
S = Σ d[i] * W[i] (i=0..7); R = S mod 11; DV = (R === 0 || R === 1) ? 0 : 11 - R
- 1. Multiply the first 8 digits by weights: W = [9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2].
- 2. Sum all products into total S.
- 3. Compute remainder R of S divided by 11.
- 4. If R is 0 or 1, check digit is 0; otherwise DV = 11 - R.
