About CFE and CAE Validation
Validating the CAE guarantees that an electronic voucher range has been formally and mathematically authorized by DGI Uruguay.
This tool supports both standalone 11-digit CAE numbers and composite vouchers in Type-Series-Number format.

DGI Modulo 11 Validation Rules
Algorithmic integrity verification of CAE authorization:
Remainder = ∑(dᵢ × Wᵢ) mod 11, weights [3, 2, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2]
- 1. Cleaning & Parsing: Determines if the input is an 11-digit CAE authorization or a full CFE code with series and number.
- 2. Structural Check: Validates prefix 90 for the CAE and registered voucher codes (101 to 282) for CFE.
- 3. Modulo 11 Verification: Multiplies first 10 digits by official weights and compares the remainder.
- 4. Output: Confirms document validity and extracts decoded fiscal metadata.
