Guatemalan IBAN Validation Algorithm (ISO 7064 Modulo 97)
IBAN verification conforms to the global ISO 13616 standard:
mod97(rearrangedString) === 1
- 1. Move first 4 characters (GT + check digits) to the end.
- 2. Convert letters to numeric values (A=10 to Z=35; G=16, T=29).
- 3. Evaluate remainder of the large integer modulo 97.
- 4. Conforms if remainder strictly equals 1.
